As an at home chef, I have had the opportunity to try both the Caribbean Curry & Caribbean Jerk sauces. Here are my thoughts on both of them:
Caribbean Jerk – I boiled a pound of chicken thighs and added in some of the Dis Ting Caribbean Jerk flavoring. I let it boil for 20 minutes and then mixed in a cup of boiled brown rice and red beans. Let me tell you, the flavor of the finished product was amazing. My wife and I loved the zest of the flavor and the mouth-watering deep penetrating jerk flavors. Our next test will be on fish. We highly recommend trying the Caribbean Jerk when baking or frying your favorite meat or fish!
Caribbean Curry Base – Growing up in a diverse background, I often had the chance to eat Indian food that contained curry. I was excited to see that Dis Ting created a Caribbean Curry Base. I went off label and marinated some shrimp in it. I baked the shrimp for 5 minutes and then tried the first shrimp. Wow, the curry I remember as a kid was sometimes boring but smelled wonderfully. This Caribbean Curry was full of flavor with a nice savory & spice balance. I decided to take the shrimp, add another tablespoon of Dis Ting Caribbean Curry and wrap it in lettuce for a low-carb, high protean treat. It was amazing, the flavors were bold and before I knew it, my lettuce shrimp wrap was gone. I plan to try the Dis Ting on a tray of baked veggies for another mid-afternoon snack. I highly recommend you try it and the other flavors in the Dis Ting line of flavors!
I bought 2 bottles of Dis Ting Curry Base and I am glad I did. I gave the small jar to my son and kept the large one for myself. I cooked up a chicken curry last night using your sauce. It´s delicious!!!
My son used his jar with his wife´s family the other night and he messaged me saying “10 out of 10” – they loved it too, including his father-in-law who is a very picky eater.
